Is this the standard time zone here on BGA? Is there a way to learn BGA's own 'local' time? It's assumed as the Paris time, I guess?

Notice that the one place in the entire site where the time isn't converted to your local time is the time stamp on forum posts. That tells you what the server time is for BGA. At least it used to. Oddly, it is at UTC+0, but I had a vague memory that the BGA server was offset from UTC.

Even though they announced that the next Arena season begins at 18:00 CEST, I can't remember if the server itself actually changes between summer (daylight saving) hours and standard time.

True. It is converted to whatever you have set in your preferences, though: https://boardgamearena.com/forum/ucp.php?i=173

Click on you avatar below the forum's search box (not the BGA-wide big avatar in the top right, but the smaller one inside the forum frame, next to "Private messages", then "User control panel", then "Board preferences".

Yeah, as Jellby says. Mine shows my local time. I would guess it shows UTC by default as that's considered the default for the phpBB platform, and doesn't relate to BGA server time. But you can ascertain it's Paris time by looking at some of the events/notifications (eg. end/start of Arena seasons).
