In this game: boardgamearena.com/table?table=700244394 I played in order: Furnisher, Stone Cart, Hawktower and Clay Hut Builder. I therefore had (in order) on the round 12 action space: 1 stone, 1 stone room and 2 clay. At the start of round 12 I received in order: 1 stone and then 1 stone room which I was able to build. This then triggered Furnisher before I received the 2 clay. Hence the clay was not available to be used to pay for the improvement that Furnisher triggers.
Is this intended? I don't know what the official ruling is. I assume that order of resources/game pieces being placed on the board shouldn't matter and that should be up to the player in the interface: separate buttons for {receive 1 stone} {receive 1 stone room} {receive 2 clay}. Other cases where I can imagine this would be an issue is the occupation Wolf for example.
I made this bug ticket: https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=175972
