2015/2016 Wich advice for editor?

Hello,
I'm under ubuntu 14.04.
coming back to ajax for some weeks, I'm still programming under Gedit/Nano and Nautilus... and of course BGA online env...
I don't have completion syntaxe for example... I miss that.... that makes me lose a lot of time passing from a window to another.

I was using Eclipse when I compute Androids and embbeded assembly, today uninstalled...
before reinstall it, I would like to check with you what's a better solution...

I use Sublime text since a few years.
Beautiful, lightweight, portable, tons of useful plugins (ftp…).
Smart autocompletion, it doesn't look only for letter that follows each other. For example, in css "bg" will autocomplete to "background" evern if the b and g letters doesn't touch each other in this word. I don't know much about other text editors or IDE but I tried some which autocompletion didn't work like this.
You can download a lot of snippets for any language.
There is an emmet plugin (http://emmet.io).
Another plugin I love is one which automatically place semicolons at the right place just by pressing ";" (https://packagecontrol.io/packages/Semicolon).
There are a lot of useful shortcuts to select and manipulate text.

You can also duplicate a file on multiple tabs which is sometimes useful.

I think there is a great "flow" when working with Sublime text. but I guess it's far from the best editor for a language like Java.

I tried Atom which is very nice and free but I stuck on Sublime for only (so far) reason : it didn't have a similar auto semicolon plugin like Sublime text and I don't know how to code my own.

And you know what....
I install and began to use Sublime instead of gedit , 30 minutes ago ... My Portable shut down for a reason I did not discover... by the way... the fact that I thought have lost my not saving Work...
But NOOOOO... Sublime give me back the not saved code!!!!
Happy I was not under Gedit!

Is there any option to minimize/maximize a function (with +/-) ... I did not see.

Yes : move your cursor next to the line numbers, clickable ▼ characters will show up.
