Issue:
Profile Preference "Play-time Window"
- Turn based matchmaking often groups together players with vastly different play-time windows.
- Games that claim to be 12+ moves a day are very rarely that, I've yet to find one that was beyond 4.
- Time zone preference/restriction comes with additional issues as not everyone players strictly in their daytime hours.
Profile Preference "Play-time Window"
- Allow players to set "Play-time Window" in their preferences on their profile. (Similar 12 hr window to what appears in fast-pased turn based games)
- Players without a preference are assumed to be in a default window for their timezone. (9-9 maybe?)
- Maintain play-time window for fast-pased turn based games.
- Add optional choice on slow/normal pased turn based games to set a play time window. (same choices in select box)
- When you attempt to join a game with a different time window to yours, you get a warning prompt.
It appears that you are attempting to join a game which doesnt match your play-time window.
Your play-time window only overlaps the games window by 4 out of 12 intended hours. | Your play-time window has no overlap with the games window.
Low/No overlap in play-time windows can result in a negative experience for all players, significantly slowing down games and potentially resulting in unintended timeouts.
You can adjust your play-time window in preferences. - Add option to "Restrict Table Access" - "Players Time Window", with sections: +2 hours, +4 hours, +6 hours ... and options: "Im okay with..." etc
