More about BANK A SEQUENCE

Hi everyone! I just finished my first game of Verso — it's a fun game to play with friends.

However, I found the rule about banking a sequence a bit unclear — or maybe there’s a bug in the BGA Beta version of Verso. Specifically, the rules don’t mention that you must leave at least one card of a color when banking.

One more thing, in the last round, I had three blue cards: 2, 3, and 6. I tried to bank the 3 and 6 — which would have given me more points — and leave the 2 unbanked. But the game only allowed me to bank the 2 and 3. I couldn’t select the 3 and 6, even though I was leaving a card of that color behind.

Has anyone else run into something like this?

Somehow you missed the most fundamental rule that the cards you bank have to form a continuous sequence of at least two cards with no gaps. There is a significant gap between 3 and 6.

Also, you don't have to leave a card of a color. You can bank your only two cards in a row and leave it empty. But if you bank 3 or more you *get to* (it's not a bad thing) only discard the highest two in the sequence and leave the lower ones in that row. Those lower ones still score (if you don't believe it, go and look at the logs from your games), and you may get to score them again in the future. Cool, eh? Even better, if you use a wild card, you sometimes have an option of which ones to leave behind based on where you place the wild in the sequence.
