What happens when max game time is reached?

I am in a Yatzee tournament which started 28.5 days ago with a maximum game time of 30 days and ony 7 of the 12 games are complete. One of the remaining games might finish before the deadline but the others are very unlikely to so I was wondering what happens at that point?

Even in my own game which finished one of the players was 2 days over time so I think a lot of players have miscalculated the frequency they will need to log on to complete in time and I suspect the same will happen in the next round.

I don't want to abandon a game when a player is obviously still being active but also want to ensure the players that go through are the ones with the highest score, or failing that those that do not go over the time.

If the game reaches max time for a round, the player with the most time on their clock wins.

If this many games fail to finish, it is primarily the fault of the tournament organizer for not putting reasonable time limits on the rounds.

The tournament is Maxi Yatzee so you have 7 days to take 60 turns which is a lot, so you can blame the organizer, but the players should also have been aware of that.

I was surprised it wasn't simultanious mode.

If someone is kicked for running out of time, the game is scored as a tie among the players who weren't kicked. Only one player will be kicked if more than one is out of time. In Multiplayer Elimination tournaments, it will then use the account age tiebreaker if more than 1 person is eliminated. In a swiss tournament, you will get points based on the tie for first, which means you would lose ground in the standings to someone who won their game.

If the full time limit elapsed without someone being kicked, the players are ranked according to time left on their clock.
