BUG OR HACK ?

Post by Uttarayan »

Hi,
During game #691503990 i could observe those very weird moves during replay :

At move 57 my opponent is playing 2 dev cards, eventho he chosed only 1 dev play, and he only paid for 1 card, the cheap one.

Then, 2 or 3 moves later, he played other cards and then payed for that card he played a few turns before ??!

Am I tripping ? is it a known bug ? or is he just hacking ?

it s kindda disturbing, trying to get better and watching those super weird moves

Thx a lot whoever have a look

Your opponent at move 57 played one development, not 2.

You mean when your opponent attempts to play consumer markets but then actually plays terraforming robots? This is a bug in RFTG replays that does not affect actual gameplay - it's just an issue with the display.

What happens is that if a player selects a card to play and then cancels playing the card, the replay (from their perspective) shows it as staying in their tableau instead of being returned to their hand. Your opponent hasn't actually played consumer markets, as you'll see if you replay from your POV - they've just played terraforming robots. Then the next turn they actually did play (and pay for) consumer markets.

Oh, that's odd. I always view potential bugs from the vantage point of the player reporting the bug, so I did not even see this when I viewed the replay.

thank you for you replies, problem solved, it is indeed a display problem in the replay mode, as stated here and found somewhere else in the forum, case closed, again, thank you all taking the time to answer
