Wrong Rules on BGA

Hey all !

I encountered an issue playing the game, especially in ranked where all the game end by just a guess at 1/3 1/4 or 1/2 chance of win.

There is a problem regarding the rules on BGA.

In the real Digit Code game, U can't ask the same question if you don't ask the 4 different type of question. However it's not the case here in BGA and maybe it create frustration because u can ask all the question you want and you don't have to use your question wisely and wait until u have 1/4 chance of win and use your 2 attempt and hope to hit the right answer.

I don't know who to talk to to fix this or if i'm not the first one to see this.

Hope I'm not wrong with my statement but the game is currently unplayable as it's so easy and its just a coinflip to know who will win.

this is an interesting proposal, however it does not affect the ending in any way

I reviewed the rulebook again, and I think there’s no problem with the current rules for games with three or more players.
However, in a two-player game, it says that on the first turn you must ask all four types of questions and get four answers, and then from the next turn onward you ask one question at a time.
Also, in the actual two-player game, each player sets a code for the other, so the answers are different for each player. If the start player guesses the code correctly, the second player gets one chance to guess as well.

It’s truly a clever and fun game, but I completely agree that the ending could be improved.
If the two-player rules were refined a bit more, the game could be much fairer.

In real life, if you play with 3 or more players, 1 player is actually just the question master and does not play. At BGA, if you create a game with X players, you actually play with X+1 players, as BGA is always the question master. The real 2 player game is not supported.

The developer of the BGA version said that he discussed this with the publisher and that the publisher confirmed that the current implementation must stay.

So, the only chance to get it changed is to directly write to the publisher and convince them to change their mind.

I understand more now the difference between the number of play and between the BGA adapation and the real game itself.

I will try to make game with 3 4 or 5 players to see if its better than 2 players. But yeah the fact that everyone got the same information, its this issue that cause this type of end game.

If you compare to some other game in the same style, players can have info by different action but they keep their info to themselves and you have to deduce the strategy of your opponent to have soft info from him even without seeing what the game said to him.

I'm going back to the game and let him a 2nd chance with more players.

I agree with the players that don't like other rules than in the ordinary game.
With two players, you should be able to set up your code, which the other player should solve.

As it is now it's all down to a chicken race if both players are good. And that is not so fun to play.
In most other games players have different setups, for instance different cards from start to play with.

You said that we should contact the publisher directly - how do we do that?
