Turn based vs real time?

Hi! I want to participate in Arena but there are so few players to begin with and most of them seem to prefer playing turn-based. Why is that if it's such a short game? Most of the time it's impossible to find someone to play with. :/

Actually, I think something is up with matching. I tried to search for a game in Arena at the same time as another user and we didn't end up together as they pretty quickly got a match with someone else. Meanwhile, I am still waiting. Haven't gotten even 1 match since I posted and I've tried hundreds of times at different times of day
