Longboat Tile

Another vote for a rule change to make the tile less overpowered. Taking it out would be easiest, or maybe put a maximum on the amount of the bonus, could even be a generous one like 8 or 10 points?

I would like to weigh in on the Log Boat issue. First, every player has an equal chance of obtaining the holy grail of the water way. Second it is no different than having Boardwalk and Park Place in monopoly you almost never lose without it. Thirdly, if you’re playing a “friendly” game it doesn’t matter who gets it. It’s all part of the fun seeing if you can max out your water way with the raft combined with the logboat done that once felt like Bogey dragging Kate around in the African Queen.
So if you a more competitive type you gotta have a plan for that. Watch the guy poaching all the forests to dig through the Mennie tiles. You know there’s a good chance they might get it. Watch the guy who’s trying to connect the Nile and the Amazon if you got it let him build it if you don’t got it, build bigger forests or break out the spears to make your grasslands more productive.
Most of all just have fun!

What I don’t like abut the tile is that as soon as I play it the other player ALWAYS concedes. Like come on, just finish the game out a few more turns!

When my opponent gets the tile I finish the game out and sometimes even win, it just feels unsportsmanlike to quit like that just because the other player got the “best” tile.

Don’t build huge waterways, plan better for it, take more chances at YOU finishing forests and getting the bonus tiles than your opponent, or build a big meadow to counteract the points from the longboat. Those who hate it are the ones who don’t know how to play with it if they don’t get it.

How has this not been fixed yet? It would be a simple change
