Last dice on the bridge… can’t take from the left?

Rules question… when there’s only one dice left on the bridge, are you not allowed to choose to take it from the left to get the lantern action?

No. That situation only arises when there were two dice on the bridge, one on each end, and the dice on the left/lantern side then got taken, leaving the lone dice on the right side of the bridge.

Obviously, if it was the right dice taken first then the lone dice would be on the left/lantern side.
