famous stalker

Post by moilie »

What are people thinking when they come to watch my matches with other people, even though they've never played against me before, and then send me a friend request after the match is over? :|

I'm just spitballing various theories, the reasons could be a combination of the possibilities mentioned below, or something completely different.

Are they friends with your opponent? That might be why they're watching.

Alternatively, the game you are playing is Quoridor, an unpopular abstract. Due to this, it has a longer wait time. Adding frequent players may be a way to ensure opponents.

You're ranked in the top 100, so players may have noticed you as a high ranked player.

Finally, the speed at which you got there implies you're a veteran. Theoretically you only have to be a veteran at Quoridor, though others might also read it as someone using an alt on BGA to rapidly climb and you have their attention that way.

And he's a top-ranked person, right? He kept sending me friend requests, so I accepted, but then he unilaterally removed me from his list a few days later. I'm curious about his thought process...
