Scoring.

please help. I get 44. and they gave me 35. 5 rabbits, 2 bears, 1 giraffe, 3 owls, 1 cat, 1 fox, 4 lions, 3+2 pandas (the most). where am I wrong? thanks )

I think this is correct, but I am confused on the lions.

5 rabbits = 15 points
2 bears = 5 points
1 giraffe = 1 point
3 owls = 5 points (based on a single giraffe + owl pair)
1 cat = 1 point (1x1 cats)
1 fox = -2 points
lions = 0 points (I think this is right, as you get 10 points for the first 3 lions but then 4th is a single lion group, so -10 points)
most pandas = 10 points

That is 35 points, if I have the lions correct.

The reason I am confused is my game I had the following:

4 rabbits = 10 points
4 bears = 10 points
5 giraffe = 5 points
5 owls = 25 points
1 cat = 1 point
3 foxes = -6 points
least pandas = -10 points
5 lions = 10 points (I think, first 3 = 10 points and second 2 = 0 points)

If my lion reasoning is correct, I should have had 45 points, but only had 35. I still would have lost as I didn't understand cat scoring and the opponent had 6 cats for 36 points, but I am just trying to work out scoring.

indeed. then they counted "lions" correctly. now I know that more than 3 is not allowed
