From the first Oscars (1929) to the Rubik’s Cube (1980), the 20th century is packed with unforgettable moments, and now it is your job to turn them into the most impressive exhibition. In Exhibition: 20th Century, every card represents a year between 1900 and 1999, from iconic inventions to cultural milestones, each tied to its region of the world.
 
A Century in 100 Cards
Every year from 1900 to 1999 is represented by a single card. That means 99 objects to discover, each tied to its place of origin:
 

• 19 from North America
• 18 from Europe
• 17 from Asia
• 16 from Africa
• 15 from South America
• 14 from Oceania

…and one unique “World” card (1945), a wild joker that comes with both perks and pitfalls.
 
Can you link the last Tasmanian tiger (1936) to the first bikini (1946), as well as other cultural icons? Every card is a little slice of history.
 
On your turn, your zeppelin decides which column you can draft from: pick one of the three objects available on your continent, move your zeppelin to that card’s origin, and place it in one of your showcases. The challenge lies in meeting each showcase’s requirements while keeping an eye on the personal and shared goals. When no more cards fit, the curator with the most captivating collection wins.
Strategic movement, clever drafting, and a healthy dose of history make this a unique journey through the last century.

The 20th Century began on 1st January 1901 and ended on 31st December 2000.

It's a bit ridiculous to call this game "Exhibition: 20th Century" and not know that...

What I do know is that that would mean that the century&millennium change was celebrated 1 year too early.
Like some said at that time, but a minority.

In 2019 (the year this game was developped) the most common used period for the term century was the years ..00-..99. Wikipedia advised that too, but now advises ..01-..00.
Though with decades Wikipedia still says .0-.9. Like the decades in the game, which would not match with Wikipedia's new century years.

Wikipedia was wrong about centuries in 2019, and is wrong about decades now.

Another thing that is pretty common knowledge is that Wikipedia is not a reliable source... It is useful for a quick check, sometimes, but not for any serious usage.

It is just a matter of logical thinking. If there was no year 0 (and there wasn't) then all decades, centuries and millenia start with year 1 and end in year 10 (times the criteria for decade, century, etc.).

It's not a very serious problem, but it does reinforce an unfortunately common error.

I saw a tv "docu" about the 90s. I will tell them that Mallgur is angry that they used a wrong year and missed another year.
Good luck with that "logic". It's an old discussion. There is no rule for it, so searching about that old discussion at sites like Wikipedia is fine, is not a crime. Most people seem to think that the 20th century started on 1 januari 1900, in this game we did so too. Sorry if you see a problem in that.

Actually, there is. It's called a calendar. There are many of those, but the one that gives value to the term "20th Century" is the Gregorian calendar.
Check Wikipedia, if you don't believe me.

It's sad people are so proud and defensive of their ignorance, but not a problem.

In 2019 I did read a lot about it, now a bit again, remembering it again.
The "counting started at 1" logic I did read about, and don't agree to it personally. If I had to start time counting, seconds/minutes/hours/days/years/decades/centuries, I would take zero as starting point.
Like most people seem to do, from Wikipedia:
"A YouGov poll was conducted on December 2, 2019, asking 13,582 adults in the United States, "When do you think the next decade will begin and end?" Results showed that 64% answered that "the next decade" would begin on January 1, 2020, and end on December 31, 2029 (0-to-9 method); 17% answered that "the next decade" would begin on January 1, 2021, and end on December 31, 2030 (1-to-0 method); 19% replied that they did not know."

Well... That just shows that most american people are, indeed, confused about how calendar dates work. It does not mean they are right.

You may count time anyway you want, sure. That's fine.
However, if you are referring to dates on the Gregorian calendar (as is the case on this game's title), they are counted starting at 1.

Swatch once decided they would launch a collection of watches that counted time and dates using a "universal" system that ignored the concept of timezones around the globe. It eventually died out, because most people still use the Gregorian calendar and it became quite useless and confusing to try and arrange any meeting or synchronized activity. It was an interesting concept and marketing experiment, nothing more, though.

Again, it makes little difference. In your shoes, I'd take the opportunity to include a "curiosity" factoid about in the rules. That way, you not only may have a fun game in hand, you might even turn it into an educational tool... Who knows, maybe you'd help americans be less confused about how the Gregorian calendar works. Wouldn't that be great?
