Help needed: Delivering of chat messages is delayed

Post by cigma »

Since about a month this issue occurs to me sometimes: My messages in personal chats are not delivered for several minutes. Whether this also happened in some of my game chats, I am not sure about. Just now a set of messages I send to one person is delayed for one hour!

By not delivered I mean, the time stamp after each of my prompts has a grey instead of a green checkmark and thus I know the recipient was not able to read it yet, although that player is shown as online and in at least two occasions the other ones were exchanging messages with me at that time, so they were definitely online.

Refresh doesn't help. Any other features of BGA functions as normal, so it's not a connection problem.

Do you experience the same? Is there a bug report about this? Do you have any idea how to solve it?
Thanks in advance!

I don't know if this was caused by the same issue as https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=177230 (The "Game in progress" page no longer updates on its own.) and is now fixed as well. So I will wait and see, before I open a bug report on this.
