You rush people in games...and have an annoying timer countdown to put stress on people.
I was in a game....where he lagged and disconnected down to 10 seconds...and then halfway down the game I was down to 10 secs and him back up to 2 mins? Do you treat premium players better? How do you expect people to join premium when you punish them for anything?

So when my timer went down and he skipped my turn and I lost the game and lost karma and then it says I cannot play anymore games because of that... THE TIMER IS TOO SHORT and the KARMA penalty is TOO HARSH!!!!

Not all of us play turns in 20 seconds...(10 of which an annoying timer sound goes off). It should be at least 30-40 seconds per turn with NO SFX for timer. Not all turns need that, but there are times when you do...and besides it's a game NOT a sprint. It's supposed to be fun...not stress. If another player cannot handle waiting a little bit for a competitive game...then what's the point.

Then there are games that I didnt even no that started because as NON premium sometimes you wait in the queue for 10 minutes...and I lost 20 karma because I didn't even not the game startes...* is that?

Please be more thoughtful as not all gamers are RUSH RUSH RUSH. Thank you.

Are you aware you can choose the speed of the game when you create/join a table ?

The game you got kicked from was a fast paced game, if you feel like the time allocated isn't enough you should pick a normal pace or slow pace based on your requirements.

Four issues:

1. I am opposed to players getting penalties over tech issues such as the BGA wepbage not loading or disconnecting.

2. There are three distinct speeds to play games on BGA, slow , normal and fast.

3. You can play based turn based games. Once again with different speed settings.

4. You can block players that readily will kick other players who are unable to play.

Then join a table that has at least 30-40 seconds per move.

with NO SFX for timer.

Then disable sound effects (I always play without sounds)

and besides it's a game NOT a sprint.

Different people have fun in different ways. I'd say few people have fun just waiting, though

Rather, if you cannot follow the rules of a competitive game, what's the point?

Thanks for the replies. Some good answers. Unfortunately, many players only want fast games and I sit there for 30 minutes sometimes waiting. It's crazy to think that 30-40 secs per turn isn't even considered fast or good enough. Is there really THAT much of a rush? You'd think people were getting paid per game. I have no idea how some can think at those speeds..it's like button mashing at some points when I am down to 20 seconds....sigh.

Oh well, I guess I am asking too much and many people these days rush rush rush. I remember when you sat down to play a board game and just enjoyed it. But I cannot forgive the site for being sooo harsh with Karma...it makes me look like a bad person just because I play slower than the average player....ESPECIALLY when you are still newer to a game..letalone just wanna enjoy it and take it in....you know..soak it in kinda thing.

Play turned based games, you'll have hours or even days to think about your moves. It's why all my games are turned based.

The karma system is a joke, you can have 100% with pretty much no effort even if you trashed your account to 0% for fun. You generally get a ton of time per move and if for some reason the table speed wasn't slow enough you can pick an even slower time control. A full 1% karma gain just for regularly completing a game. The only reason players don't regularly have several hundred or several thousand percent karma is because it peaks at 100%.

Given that time jokers don't work right now - at least in my experience - this is definitely more concerning. When they fix the time jokers I hope they also forgive any negative karma had - right now it seems like a premium player could potentially bully other players. Although maybe I misunderstand it.

Not sure how a premium member can bully non premium because of time jokers?
