Problems starting/not starting new games

It's happened once or twice now that I'll try to cancel my queueing for a new game, and while it looks cancelled on my end, I still get put into the game and told that I abandoned it. That, paired with what feels to me like an uptick in my opponents timing out at the very beginning of the game, leads me to believe there is some kind of technical issue in the new season with loading into games. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have not successfully started/joined a game in 2 days.

Why is it that now when I start a 2 player game, sometimes it seems 2 or 3 players, ie 3 and 4 player games? I've had this happen twice immediately following 'play again' (which i don't like the new auto-start, either).

For the longest time, even though I have the fast start, sometimes it will start where we each get 1 card only.

Yes, mine will freeze and it seems like a game is not available. Then i get docked 20 pints for abandoning.
