get credit for making rules corrections?

Post by zoomboom »

I don't remember where it talks about it, but somewhere it mentions we can get credit towards premium renewal for doing certain thing, like making tutorials or whatnot. If we make corrections to the rules in the wiki page for a game, could we get credit for that?

It's no longer easy to find, but all possibilities for helping BGA and getting gift points are listed here: https://boardgamearena.com/contribute

No you can't, because there is no validation system for the BGA wiki.

Thanks!

Why would they not want to give incentives for helping the rules be accurate?

Because, in general, incorrect rules in a user-editable wiki aren't really a problem on the site. It's easy to find, super easy to correct, and loads of players readily pitch in to get it done quickly.

On the other hand, fixing actual bugs in games is exceedingly difficult, especially if you didn't program the game yourself, so they want to provide extra incentive for that to occur.
