Search for opponents within an ELO range

Post by SML_609 »

I'd like to suggest an enhancement. For some games, there is little granularity at or above "Strong". I play Chakra a lot, and a Strong player can have an ELO of 301 or 450. If I'm at ELO 285, I'm willing to try a game with someone at ELO 300-350, but a game against an opponent with an ELO above 400 is likely going to be futile.

I'd like to suggest a way to restrict the opponents to within 50/100/150/user-specified-value ELO points of me. Then I would not begin a game of Chakra or Cartographer with a Strong opponent with an ELO difference of > 100 points.

I think this is a good idea. However, in the "read this first" post pinned to the top of this forum it says:
If you have a specific suggestion to make and want people to be able to vote for it, you can add an entry in our "Bug and suggestions" feedback system with the "Suggestion" category.
If you want a suggestion to have a chance to be acted on, do that. It doesn't mean it will be implemented, but it increases the chance to something more than zero.
