A New Logo for Board Game Arena

Now, here is a fun little challenge for you: while you are exploring the platform, can you spot any places where the old logo is still hidden? Let us know if you find one. We had some fun trying to track them all down ourselves!

When playing tutorials, the fav icon is still the old one.

- Why is only the "g" colored?

-There's a consistency palette problem, as there's 2 different blue in the upper bar.. #1A57A7 and #00B0FF

-Adding some "premium" yellow in the logo may make thing visually more consistant too.
Or just make the whole bar B&W (with some grey from the friends icon)

-Is the logo proper svg? there's some visible aliasing in the lower shadow area

Logo 1: I’ll get used to this, I think. However, the cloud by itself is so elegant. Maybe just change the background color? Solid color please!

Logo 2: Enlarge the cloud and put BGA in it.

Logo 3: When the logo pops up, it doesn’t read easily, and I think it’s because the cloud is where the first letter should be. Maybe the cloud can replace the ‘o’? As in:

I’m in favor of remaking the logo, but I feel there’s work to be done.

All that said, please work on the playability and usability of BGA, it’s really gone downhill which is a shame.
Bonus points if youll finally make arena premium only to help keep the kingmaking under control.

Off topic reply, but can you explain the bonus points remark? I don’t play a ton of Arena, but why would paid vs unpaid matter? I’m just curious about your personal experience. Feel free to DM.

I do not care for the new logo, & I honestly don’t believe I ever will. I wish the old one would return. But if the company is happy with it, then I’ll have to learn to live with it.

the design is, in simple words, ugly.

Its interesting that when loading it has animation, not sure its needed, but its interesting. But the logo itself is worse then before. Its still okey ish. But color gamma/palette doesnt match other colors on the site.
Examples:
Play now, news, Games, Community, Forums - they have slightly washed out feeling to the colors blue and purple.
Three people icon - where you can find what your friends are doing - is slightly washed out magenta(i think its called) like sea/river blue/green color.
Premium icon where white/gray dude is standing on a gradient yellow-orange background - its the same not bright color.
Closest to logo color is magnifying glass icon where you can search for games - its brighter dark blue background.

White BGA logo is bright white with bright blue and birght black. And the color combination has modern, minimalistic feeling. White rest of the page has grayish, washed out, tan-pale blue-pale bluegreen-pale orange colors.

The website gives a feeling of peace and lazyness, white logo gives feeling of adjutation and order.

I think it looks fresh and fun. It's legible, and passes looser WCAG accessibility standards. I know some folks hate change, including myself at times, but I think this does a great job at portraying the old logo with a facelift.

I’m shocked that this logo change hasn’t had more positive feedback… It looks retro in a cool way. 100% an upgrade and I wouldn’t have ever thought it would be divisive. All change comes with pushback I guess.
