lefalaf wrote: 30 July 2025, 19:13 This game needs to be flagged with one of those "this game is currently unplayable for technical reasons" tags and brought back to alpha until the original dev returns and has time to volunteer or another dev is able to volunteer their time to fix it.

I am not sure who to contact to do that though. If a moderator sees this, are you able to notify BGA staff? Thanks.
I just want to reiterate lefalaf 's point and ask what is the procedure in cases like this to make it happen? (I notice the developer was last seen 8 months ago)

Its like if payed for netflix, but then some movies are not playable. And your answer is something like - developers of netflix are volunteers, they dont get paid. Well, maybe they are, but only for starting the project. If the project is finished - nobody cares if it works or not...

it doesnt make sense at all!
The comparison is wrong. The correct comparison is you pay for Netflix service to deliver you the contents, not the contents themselves. Netflix pays fees to content publishers, but I think that some of the indie content is probably provided for free, because, at least, being on Netflix is also a good marketing thing. And if content has problems, Netflix won't fix (unless... they are also the producers). I remember complaining to Netflix about missing subtitles and they saying that it's the producer that has to fix them, not Netflix. What Netflix can do at most is check their contracts to see if the content provider has to provide something that we the users are requesting and, if not, well, the most they can do is to renegotiate, but the easiest is to just give up on it if complaints are not huge.

Same here. If a major game get issues and thousands of Premium users complain, I am pretty sure that BGA will try to call the developers and probably negotiate some fee, because shutting down a game played from thousands could lead to mass abandon of the platform. But for games played by a few? Unless we are a big mass of complaining people, the most cost effective is to just shut down the game. After all, BGA is really cheap given the infrastructure costs involved. If they had to pay developers of the games a lot of fees, you would expect an increase of the monthly payment, maybe something around $15-$20 per month.

The original developer seems to have retired from bga, so I got access to the project and have been working on fixes over the last few weeks.
Everything *should* be working now, so give it a try.
