Why do people like to play this variant?
The first 5 rounds are by far the most random/luck based. I've had many games where I've had terrible cards and had a negative score in the first 5 rounds, and came back and won the game, because once you start getting more cards, skill takes over.
But so often the available people waiting for games play the "First 5 Rounds" variant. If you need a short game, there are other options that are so much better...
What am I missing?
