Confused about how to make a "run" or set

I moved the conversation here, because I have two games with different results for the same rule.

On the first game, I lose on two rocks: Two cards (9,2) against 4,6 and 9 red color. And again 5,9 against 1,4,6 pink color. So, some one told me that my opponent have a "color set" (I though these set were three "consecutive" cards)





Then, on another game, I was going to make a Color Set with 4,6 and 9 (on my hand) blue color, but it already wins with "Three 5"



So, I really don't understand the rules of this game.

The answer isn't complex. The basic rules of the game are that you're forming three card poker hands, but the ranking of those poker hands is the most important thing you must remember.

Ranking in order of strength:

"Straight flush" (three cards in a run and of the same color. Order played doesn't matter. Higher numbers break ties. In case of "true" tie, first set played wins).

"Three of a kind" (higher numbered sets are more powerful)

"Flush" (higher sum of numbers breaks ties)

"Straight" (higher numbered straights break ties)

"Sum of numbers"

Also keep in mind you can often lose even though you haven't completed your set, so long as there is public information available that can "prove" your inability to win even with your best possible hand.

I was not conscious about the "flush": A sum of three numbers with the same color. And that was why I was confused!

The sum doesn't matter unless the other person also has a flush (or "color" as the rules call it). If a person has a run of 789 made from at least two different colors, and you have 124 of the same color, you win that stone.

That's why in your screenshot above they won the 8th column. With different colors and different numbered cards in that column, it was impossible for you to make a higher ranked hand because you could not make a straight flush (color-run), three of a kind, or a higher sum flush (color). If you had played a 2 instead of a 9, it would still have been possible for you to make three of a kind in that column, which would beat the color despite the color having a much higher sum.

By the way, that little ? in the bottom left of your last screenshot opens a list of the ranking of hands.

Sum only ever matters when breaking ties between sets of the same types. Primarily refer to the ranking order of the different types of sets as I listed them in my initial response.

And what is a "Straight"? f.e. 4,5,6 but different colors? or can two cards be the same color? f.e. 4 (red), 5(red),6 (blue)? i the game description are three different colors... Thanks!

You have Straight of the same color (Strongest) and Straight with different colors (only stronger than sum of values)

About two cards with the same color and a distinct one, like green 2 and 3 and blue 4, the rule books says: "Three cards of successive
strength and of any color", So, IMO it should work, buy I didn't tested yet.
