Achievements for beta games?

I was wondering, can we get any achievements for Beta games? For example the top 20 ELO achievement? Or are achievements only awarded after a game goes from Beta to Alpha?

Alpha means the game isn't ready yet, still has bugs, etc. Beta is when it becomes available to the general public, but there might still be improvements happening. Then it gets released (that's not alpha, as I said, alpha is before even getting to beta). The release is when the game is officially part of BGA, you can create tournaments for it, it gets Arena play, etc. Before being officially released you it doesn't make sense to have achievements.

Thanks, sorry for the confusion. I thought alpha game meant released, but you are right that Alpha is the first testing phase which is not available for everyone. Beta is the 2nd testing phase and means it's available for everyone and then ELO rankings are being created.

Unfortunately I understand from you that those Beta game don't count for achievements until the moment of release. Then some users already have for example 150 ELO from the Beta phase, which is not reset at the moment of release.
