*Moderation Edit: please do not use the Forums to call out specific tables or players by name, this is what the Moderation Reports are for. The Forums should remain a general discussion.

You have a short window of time to remove this post before you get moderated. Ranting in the forums is not the correct way to raise this issue.

And to preempt your response, I have successfully reported cheaters in the past. I just didn't do it in the forums where it is inappropriate.

BGA really needs to put this notice in every forum so people can't claim they didn't know any better:

If you continue to misuse the Forums in this manner, we will begin applying stronger moderation penalties. If you have enough evidence that players are cheating, the proper way to address this is to create a Moderation Report against them with significant evidence. (a single table or questionable move is not enough) https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35071

I get that management does not want you to call out cheaters here, because it makes it clear that cheating occurs and also these cheaters pay or may pay money so they don't want to upset them. I think you're doing God's work calling out cheaters where people can see. All sites like this protect cheaters because they don't want people to know how common cheating is. They spin it otherwise, but that's why they don't want you calling it out in public.

No. They don't allow allegations of cheating because the vast majority are unsubstantiated rants of someone who just didn't like losing. The forums would be inundated with this trash if it were allowed to go unchecked. This may be a valid instance of cheating, but it doesn't belong here.

Also, I find it curious that someone who hasn't played King of Tokyo ever or any other game at all in over three years is suddenly following the KoT Arena so closely and their very first post on the forums ever is about this.

I know exactly who the OP account belongs to. The OP's other accounts have been the subject of unfair play reports in the past. Interesting they would choose to call out others in public, given their own history.

Creating moderation reports about cheaters does work, but not enough is done to punish for it. ELO penalties don't really help. Removal of Arena points/status, Arena bans, or temporary site bans need to be considered.
