Hello all,
I think the forum moderators shared that 'talking about youtube videos' is allowed on this forum; if not then feel free to delete this post. I am 'necro'ing this thread as it was featured in a youtube video (if you want to find it, look for a pacifier of threads on there).
In any case, the video is informative as well as the results.
Anyone who watches the video and game(s) and wants to discussed, I think it could be an interesting discussion. Those of us, including the participant(s) of the game, that are interested in ad hominen attacks on people; you are welcome to your opinion but many of us, or maybe just me, find it pointless and a waste of time.
For example, I was surprised some generations the player who eventually won (the game in the video, and most of the series of (12, 13? 15?) games) held on to so much MC for so long. Many turns he had prod cards (like a city? urban area?) or such that had he played earlier in the turn cycles would have produced more MC and resources.
Of course, that player won (and Kudos to him! he also seems to be a great sport nice person) so I am just looking to understand if most of the players who view that situation tend to favor holding onto the MC there. I am aware that holding on and playing an urbanized area later, for example, gives more flexibility; would 2-3-5 turns of MC prod not be worth playing it a bit earlier?
Thanks for reading and sharing thoughts.
