I played same player that was better than me( higher elo) twice. He beat me the first game and I lost 3 point at gold level. Second time and I beat him( he still had higher elo). But I gained only 1 point back on gold level. This is broke!!!!! Go back to the way it was last season or adjust it to make it more equitable. Screen shot can be provided for reference from second game if needed.
Parchwork- Award of level points is bad this season

The Arena elo is separate from the regular elo. You must have gotten points for the regular elo if you go 1-1 against a higher rated player. The arena elo is hidden until you hit elite

I looked at your history and I cannot determine which games you are referring to. Can you post the table numbers so we can see whether anything was done incorrectly?RookworstWithoutR wrote: ↑13 October 2025, 22:16 The Arena elo is separate from the regular elo. Did you check the history of the person you quoted or the OP?FrankJones wrote: ↑13 October 2025, 22:51I looked at your history and I cannot determine which games you are referring to. These sentences don't make sense. One moment you talked about elo and the next you're naming colors. If you're going to make a comparison, stick to it.
Let's look at a pair of games. https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=743401480 https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=743407437 A gold lost to a bronze, then beat them. Gold is higher than bronze, so obviously gold is at a net loss for going 1-1. A 400s player lost to a 500s player, then beat them. 400s is lower than 500s, so obviously they came out ahead for going 1-1. I don't see the problem here.DJAJ908 wrote: ↑13 October 2025, 13:42 I played same player that was better than me( higher elo) twice. He beat me the first game and I lost 3 point at gold level. I did, but there were lots of patchwork games, and I had difficulty figuring out which pair of games against the same opponent was being referred to. A game history page with a lot of arena games has a lot of cluttered information.Ceaseless wrote: ↑13 October 2025, 23:50Did you check the history of the person you quoted or the OP?FrankJones wrote: ↑13 October 2025, 22:51I looked at your history and I cannot determine which games you are referring to. And it would be a heck of a lot less work for the OP to just say which two games are being referred to. I have my hands full helping deal with the Terraforming Mars bug forum.

When I ask which player you checked, the answer is not supposed to be "yes", lol. It's supposed to be who. Assuming you had the right profile, the easiest way to do it would be to scroll until you hit +1, which gives our pair. (While the first +1 wasn't a hit, the pair of games right below it are with our +1/-3 same player set-up.) Don't let the clutter fool you, you can quickly skim past it on the rating change alone.FrankJones wrote: ↑14 October 2025, 00:32I did, but there were lots of patchwork games, and I had difficulty figuring out which pair of games against the same opponent was being referred to. But yes, life is much easier when they just post the games.

I read your question as, "Did you check [the history of the person you quoted or the OP]?"
meaning, "did you check either one of those 2 players", which makes no sense, and yet I did not rethink my interpretation. I should get better quality sleep.
I checked the OP's history. But I responded to the second post. Well, this thread has turned into a series of follies for me.
