WSBG and other LAN winners' elo?

Post by G00dy »

Lately several offline events have finished, such as: WSBG, Dutch Open (2 events) and British Open.
How much elo do the winners have on BGA or Steam? And what are their nicks on website?
How much elo do you need to have to start considering yourself as a contender for the title in those and forthcoming events (German Open)?

Levi has won WSBG 3 times in a row, and he's on BGA:

I would not consider any "minimum Elo" at all for events like that. They're 4p and it's completely possible you can win games versus (potentially) better opponents with a bit of randomness as well

There was a video posted from the final table of the Dutch Open event as well, if you want to have a look and see if any of the plays are "too advanced" for you

EDIT: From a sneaky little look at Hodge Discord, this might be Bas (the Dutch Open winner), unless there's another Bas on there/his Discord name is not his BGA name:

Thank you for thorough investigation, I appreciate, it boosted my confidence significantly. Though I hate 1o1 games. Hopefully, one day, Arena will switch to 4p format or Steam community will increase dramatically.

Thanks for this post; my take / vote is 2p games are much more fun than any other player count. To each their own; I wonder if BGA would provide stats on how many games of each player count fire.
