Suggesting additional rule

​I thought the pearl denial strategy is very frustrating. So, I came up with this house rule:

- During the purchase phase, a player may pay 3 regular tokens(diamond, sapphire, emerald, and so on) of the same color instead of one pearl.

How do you think about this rule?

As usual with house rules, BGA only allows official rules in the games' adaptations. a house rule will only be allowed if it becomes an official variant approved by the game's publisher

Gold tokens can be used like pearl, so this not a denial to be worried
