Mahjong Abandonment-Help Please

Post by CatsnCoffee »

Hi, It seems the basic “Mahjong“ game that was brought here to BGA has been abandoned. The person that brought it to BGA has not been on BGA for over a year now… Despite this people are always starting new games and when the last person joins the game is when the error message pops up and after a period of time, you will get a message that it has been abandoned. The error occurs with both the three player and four player options… The errors are as follows: They both state that it is a propagating error from game server two and that there is a fatal error during set up. Four player game error reference: GS2 26/10 00:41:02 reference: VO 26/10 00:41:02. Three player game error reference: GS2 26/10 00:41:25 reference VO 26/10 00:41:26. My hope is that someone who is qualified to fix the game we do so, so that those of us who want to learn and enjoy the game are able to. There’s a lot of interest in this game. They are constantly being started, despite the fact that no one ever actually gets to play. I hope that the information that I supplied will be enough to help get the ball rolling on this… Thank you for your time

The BGA framework is being updated regularly and some of the existing codes are now incompatible.
Therefore, all old alpha games without a developer are practically dead.

Thank you for replying and letting me know… That is really sad because there’s a lot of interest in the game… I was hoping another developer would pick it up and fix it 🤔

As with the rest of the gaming industry, there are always more ideas and wishes than there are people to actually fulfill them.

The good news, though, is that you can be the change you want to see in the world. If this means a lot to you, create a BGA Studio account and work through the steps to makes the improvements you want to see.

Here's a link to get you started:

Hope that helps!
