Team response time on reports

Post by Lamina5432 »

Just had a game of chakra that I lost a lot of points in the last turn because there is no confirmation button for ending the turn.
Sure fine I could be more careful but I am human and do miss click.

So of course I go into the bug report to try and suggest adding just that. Turns out it has been already suggested and at that a year ago.

Here's my thing I can bet BGA has a small very busy team but a year is a bit much too long of a response time. I see that a lot of new stuff is added all the time which is a big plus but if you don't go back and review things like this at regular intervals I think problems will crop up.

The Team probably needs a person with some programming experience to at least review said reports and sort them at regular intervals. Because to me they already have the thing I want added into the game while not high priority the ease of implementing it shouldn't be very hard either. Since every new game I've played has it.

Some (many?) BGA staff have programming experience and maintain/develop games.

The issue is that most games on BGA are developed or maintained by volunteers. It would be nearly impossible for someone to responsively maintain code bases for 1000 different games, some of which receive many reports per day, even if they were paid. So it comes down to some games maybe being older, or less popular, or the maintainer can't afford the time to keep working on them, and some features don't get added.
