Please add an option to disable chat in games as some users are harassing others.

Hi BGA,

Thank you for this opportunity to play these wonderful board games. I would like to ask for an option to disable chat except of some predetermined messages as I was harassed multiple times. I also believe it would better protect children.

Sorry for your experience, but this is not how you correspond with BGA. As it says in the pinned post that tells you to "read this first," this forum is for discussing proposed sitewide changes "with fellow players."

As for a proposal to mute chat, a simple search for the word "mute" in this forum or the bugs/suggestions database will reveal numerous previous proposals and discussions of this issue.

If you are being harassed in game chat, please report that to BGA, and include the table number(s) of the problem game(s) so that the game chat can be reviewed. There's a "report this player" button in the upper right of every player profile.

Well I agree that BGA should provide us the posibility to turn off chat cause the module you can download for you browser (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detai ... haah?pli=1) is not working properly. If you have to refresh then the chat pop up, if you turn of chat it does turn off all the sound sometimes and some other times you can ear the sound of the player writting and you know its to complain or insult you. And worst of all when you leave the table you have all the messages that appears...

This browser extension allow you to block a user, and prevent you to receive chat messages from this user.
It blocks sounds notifications as well.
