Post by Padrini »

Is it possible to include the T-Rex promo with the Nature Spirit cards?

How does the T-Rex work? 2 points for each orange cube adjacent to the white cube? That's 12 at most and seems not as powerful as other nature's spirit cards. Or do I misunderstand it?

If you look at your games, you will find that most of your animals are already naturally connected, so that should be an easy 20+ points for the T-Rex in most games.

The difficult part seems to be building it, since you need a tall tree and a tall mountain next to each other, which is not a very natural combination, and if you don't find a way to make good profit of those constructions, that's a lot of tiles used for not many points in return.

T-Rex + wolf + eagle seems a pretty beastly start, though. From there add on ladybug and squirrel. A decent game under those (albeit pretty ideal) conditions and your dino is sitting on 20-24pts.

T-Rex sounds way too broken the more I think of it. Maybe not for every game, but think of all those spiritless games where you have high structures, lots of animals, 120+ points. Now imagine 30+ T-Rex points on top of that.

I think I've only seen once someone reach 150 points on Side A, with Lion. With T-Rex, it would become a fairly common occurrence.

The thing about T-Rex is that you don't have to worry about getting specific colours. You can just work on the deck synergies, like you would in a spiritless game, and I think that's a really significant advantage over the other spirits.
