Sometime in the past week or two while I was traveling, my "games in progress" switched to saying games started "5 days ago" or "3 weeks ago", instead of showing the dates. I really hate this. I'm looking for a way to change it back to dates like it showed before, and can't find it. Anyone know how to change it back?
How can I get dates back for when games started?

On my display I get both (the number of days ago that the game started, and the exact date and time the game was created); see https://snipboard.io/BpVYSh.jpgCos- wrote: ↑27 October 2025, 23:46 Sometime in the past week or two while I was traveling, my "games in progress" switched to saying games started "5 days ago" or "3 weeks ago", instead of showing the dates. (Incidentally I've sometimes wondered whether the time a game is "created" is considered identical to the time the game "started", but I've never looked into that question.)
Maybe at some point you increased the text size or something like that, pushing the date down out of frame.

I'm assuming you mean on the show all current tables page.
I have mine set to 'small display' so I get neither, but I found if I changed it to 'large display' I would get the x days/weeks ago that you are seeing. I play on desktop so if I hover the mouse over it, I can see the date and time. It's not the same as having it available at a glance, but I reckon it's not nothing.
Don't know if you can do something similar on mobile, though.

I'm not sure what page that screenshot is from. Maybe it's from when you're looking at a specific table but not the game itself? I don't know. It does not look like the "games in progress" page I'm talking about, which shows _all_ of your current tables in a grid. Changing the browser zoom level / text size has no effect on the "Game started" text on these tiles, they're all relative time now, rather than dates. Until earlier this month, they used to show dates, except for games started today or yesterday.Mathew5000 wrote: ↑29 October 2025, 16:56 On my display I get both (the number of days ago that the game started, and the exact date and time the game was created); see https://snipboard.io/BpVYSh.jpg

Yes, the "games in progress" page is probably what you're calling the "show all current tables page"; BGA calls that page "games in progress".Iarnvidia wrote: ↑29 October 2025, 19:10 I'm assuming you mean on the show all current tables page.

I set my display to large a few weeks after they launched the new version of the "games in progress" page (which overall I hate, I wish we still had a single list instead of tiles in a grid). It's still set to large now. I just tried to switch it to medium and back to large, and indeed when I switched to medium the "started 1 week ago" and similar messages disappeared from the tiles; when I switched back to large display those reappeared. They problem is they're still all relative! Until earlier this month, they showed me the exact date each game started, and that's what I want to get back. Large display, on its own, doesn't do that.
I almost never use mobile so that wouldn't matter to me.

Since nobody knows how to get the dates to show up again, I think BGA broke that feature.

FWIW, on mobile, a long press on the relative date string will get you the exact date and time.Iarnvidia wrote: ↑29 October 2025, 19:10 I'm assuming you mean on the show all current tables page.

Re: How can I get dates back for when games started?
Thanks. It's similar on the web: If you hold the mouse pointer over the relative date, it shows the full date. But that's not very useful. The point is to be able to see all of the dates on the list (or grid, now). There's no way to do that if you can only temporarily view them one by one.BarnardsStar wrote: ↑01 November 2025, 19:55 FWIW, on mobile, a long press on the relative date string will get you the exact date and time.

Re: How can I get dates back for when games started?
There’s a lengthy thread around here about a browser add-on that allows you to change all sorts of things about how the site is presented. The dev seems very responsive; you could request this for the add-on, if that’s something you’d be willing to use.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look for it. However I play on a couple of different computers and sometimes a different browser, so it might get unwieldly to manage a browser extension for all of them. It might be better than nothing, if it has this feature.
