New games error

I just had about 10 games of splendor added to my list , but with all the wrong parameters , I know I didn't ask for these , but now I have to play them or have my reputation knocked, how did this happen?

Do you mean the tournament tables? You probably entered some tournament.

You're right, I have 13 tournament games going. I'm sure I didn't ask for them. I don't know how to play them!!

Even if you don't remember it, you entered a (horribly structured) round robin tournament. All matches in a round robin tournament are played simultaneously. This comes as a great surprise for someone playing one for the first time. Even worse, the tournament only allows 12 hours per person to play all 13 games. In a tournament, you don't get time added for each move. So this round will end one way or another at 1100 UTC on 11/9/25.

BGA allows registration for tournaments to open so far in advance of the tournament starting (literally decades) that understandably people (like you) forget that they've even registered. For some reason, BGA continues to allow this, and players like you suffer from it. If you think this policy is ill informed, vote for this site suggestion.

I suggest you withdraw from the tournament if you don't think you can finish all of the games so you don't take a karma hit for being expelled from multiple games.

Wait. I'm used to Swiss tournaments where you only play one match at a time. I'm not sure you can withdraw from a round robin after it starts. But one thing I've seen suggested to players in this situation is to propose to collectively abandon the game. If a few people agree you can get the number of games down to a reasonable number perhaps. But there is still the ridiculous time constraint. For all I know you are already asleep.

Yes , I had trouble getting out of it. It had to be played on 1 day, so my Reputation went down. Oh well I guess it's not the worst thing in the world
