Favorite games & BGA Survey (100 answers needed)

Post by Sonic Whammy »

To anyone reading this message, this is a very fast, very simple survey question for fandom game shows that I host at conventions. I need 100 responses to it, so if you can throw a fast reply on this, it would really help me out.

The question: Is your all-time favorite board game not here on BGA?

Simply answer YES or NO. This poll is not meant to cause any trouble here. It's just to get an honest count of opinion, so please don't think I'm looking for a lot of one answer or the other, just answer honestly.

PS: You're welcome to say what your favorite game is either way, but it's not required.

I'm pretty sure with the negative way you ask the question you will have no chance to interpret the results. :-)

To answer it: No, my favorite game is not not on BGA.

This isn't actually a simple yes/no question, because I'm sure I'm far from the only person who does not have a single "favorite" game. Some of my favorite games are on BGA but not all.

Tough to say if phrasing it this way or in the "positive" tone (asking if your favorite BG of all time IS here) will strictly impact the difference. As long as anyone seeing this answers truthfully, that's what matters.

I get it, tough to narrow it down for some people to ONE favorite. But if you had to, that's the fun of questions like these sometimes.

You sound like Wadsworth in Clue. "I'm sorry, I said 'no' meaning 'yes'." Gotta love it.

I believe my response is still more helpful than a simple "no".
If I just said "no": what would you think it would mean? Is my favorite boardgame on BGA? Or is it not?
