Preferred color

I'm a premium member and have set my preferred color to white. Can someone please explain why I'm not assigned white in games that no other player is (vast majority if not all)? I verified Wingspan is a supported game so I don't get it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It's not. The colors you mentioned are the available colors.

That said, would anyone care if the system simply displayed someone's color as white anyway?

(Ona side note, with the Asia expansion it's possible to play 7-player, and I'm not sure which colors the two extra colors are, even though I own the expansion. (I've never played more than 5 players).

It's not a question of whether any other player would care. It's question of whether the rights holder cares. The colors available are part of reproducing the over the board experience. For example, allowing pink in "Expedition: Northwest Passage" would be aesthetically jarring. But some rights holders may not care.

The two extra colors in the Asia expansion are black and white.
