Combined set games?

Post by Heegutin »

Once beach cup is out of beta, do you suppose we'll have the option to randomize the card sets between both games? I'd love if arena was either completely random or had some kind of rotation.

they already have different draw card rules, so not likely.

What do you mean? The physical games are 100% compatible and you are allowed to swap between the different tournament plans and city/rainbow sets at will.

This is so weird to me. The only reason I like expansions for games is improved variety but if both games are self-contained is a little disappointing. Will definitely be playing Beach Cup when I have time, but I was really looking forward to mix and matching all the decks.

Beach cup on it's own is pretty boring...
Combos are far too broken, they beats vanillas easily. The experience sucks, yes it's a luck game, but this one is just too luck based. For the base game, when you know you're not making any good combos, choosing vanillas might give you the chance to get to the final. But not in beach cup.

Also, for the base game, at least you got the villain and submarine to make a comeback.
Beach cup you only got the Zeppelin and it also requires combo or lettuce otherwise it's not better than having two 7s

Would be really cool to mix them – I was hoping for it… I still do

or maybe a 3rd game implementation of the combined options "Challengers! Combined"

to keep arenas and possibilities for the self-contained games available

Would love to experience combined set games. Some combos might be unbalanced, but I think that is part of the fun.
