I personally have been called out from many many people in this platform for the same reason "Criticizing my partners, it's always my partner's fault, never my fault, that I think of my self as a perfect player and everyone else is bad". It is sad to think that way and I will explain the reasons behind it.
First of all I do not think there is the "perfect" Tichu player since Tichu is a game that consists of 50% luck and 50% skill. What you can do as a player is make the least mistakes possible. How? Be focused in the game you are playing and if possible try and memorize what has been played.
I will give two basic examples even "good" win rated players make and sometimes makes me criticize them.
You are on GT, you have passed a dog to your p, your p has passed you a phoenix. you are left with (KK(highest pair after A's were played, Dragon and a big straight from 7 to J). You lead and play a 4 opponent plays a K, your p in this situation needs to play his A and dog you.
Example no2. you are on GT you are on 3 cards left and you play dog. your p has 22 some other cards, KK and AA. (you are left with A ph and a low card like a 2), your p plays singles which is a big mistake, why? because if he play 22 he can always recover the lead with the KK and AA. so he plays a single, opponents play Dragon and pairs or big straight and your team loses the GT.
These are two simple examples you can come upon by partners in arena that are not focused enough or simply just play for fun and don't care which is acceptable.
Now what I would like to say to people that want to join Arena is, if you are not gonna put the effort on being focused in this game mode simply don't join and normal mode games is more suitable for you. I had a partner make a mistake and when asked about it his answer was "sorry I was sleeping". I mean how am I supposed to take that person seriously after this answer. On the other hand I understand his POV or anyone else's that Tichu is just a card game, play for fun, YES alright then play in normal mode. To give you an example of how serious I am about Arena after blocking almost every player below 75% win ratio I sometimes have to spend a whole day to even find and play 1 game in arena, imagine how unfair it is for someone waiting that long to have a partner that simply doesn't care about winning or losing. Thankfully there are other people I know that really try their best and are focused and serious when joining up, these people deserve to play arena and i am grateful for them, and if and when it happens and I help by giving an advice to my p and they are not offended by it and say thank you, I really thank them for listening and not getting offended since that is also a major problem here, people get offended so easily.
Anyways I had some ideas of maybe putting next to Arena mode (this mode requires focused play) or something but that would be too much now that I think about it. Also my forum post I do not even think many people would see it anyway so lets see what others think about all of this.
