table abandoned before game started

Hi,

I joined a game (Age of Innovation). The game needed 4 players. I was the second player, and a third player joined. One more needed. An hour or so later, I saw the table disappeared. I checked and found in the completed games, stating "Game has ended". Under game result, is said: "Table abandoned: All players left the game before it started." This was only a few hours after the table was opened.

I definitely didn't abandon the game. I'm not sure what happened. Any ideas? Is this a bug? Or just a mechanic I don't know about?

If was a real time game it probably just timed out because you needed another player to join. If anyone is premium in your game, can give a shout out in the general chat for another player to join next time.

Real-time tables are closed after 1 hour if they didn't start. Once they start, they're closed after 4 hours of inactivity (nobody makes a move, and nobody online).
Turn-based tables are closed after ~3 days if they didn't start. Once they start, they're closed after 40 days of inactivity (nobody makes a move).

Thanks, but it wasn't a real time game. It was one of the 'fast paced' ones.

Maybe the person who started the game was the only premium and so when they left the game it was abandoned?

Yes, that's a reason for immediately abandoning a table: if there are no premium members at a premium-game table, the table is closed.
