Hide button for rolling screen.

Post by janjoje »

In turn-based mode, it would be great to have a “hide” button after the dice roll, allowing us to check our discard pile and played cards. The dice roll screen currently covers most of the display, and sometimes the opponent takes a long time to press the “pass” button. It would be nice to have the chance to review our cards or plan the next move during that time.

Also, regarding the opponent’s discard pile, we can currently see only the top card and the one beneath it. However, we can’t view the rest. I think it should be either fully hidden or fully visible, rather than just partially — though I’m not entirely sure what the official rule says.

The opponent's discard pile was initially fully visible. The game designer asked me to patch it so it feels more like a real game, where one wouldn't just ask their opponent to look at their discard pile. I guess I could make the top card unselectable so only the last discarded card is visible, to make it match even more (but that means losing the zoom function for small screens).
In any case, a dedicated player could set themselves a spreadsheet or something to track their opponent's card, and the log makes it easy to check, so there's no point in putting too much effort there.

The "hide" button for the shoot screen is on the todolist but with low priority

Thank you for your response and your contribution to the game. To be honest, I’m not using any spreadsheet, but it seems like there’s no other way. I’m not sure if the chat log is limited only for me, but it doesn’t go back far enough — I can only see one round before, and only if it wasn’t too long ago. Maybe it’s because I’m playing on my phone. Still, thank you very much.”

I am laughing hard imagining someone with a spreadsheet while playing at the dinner table with a friend

I like to have invisible discard pile for oponent as it makes no sense that you ask to see what they have used. It is more realistic.
But I agree about the first point of the topic, you get stuck until the game keeps going.
