There's a version of Splendor on Steam, you can play against AI on that one.

hey I'm trying to develop something similar (coz turns out board games are really good for testing ai models -- long term planning, visual analysis, changing events etc.) but the first game i'm developing is cryptid.

would love any thoughts on what you'd want to see from such a platform.

I believe they have already made a super-human level AI for Splendor but don't release it to the public because it would drain out everybody's interest, just like chess. AI developers nowadays are more interested in decoding the protein, or bigger puzzle, instead of proving AI is better than human in games, which was already proved in chess and go.

No idea where you're getting that interest has drained in Chess, the game is still massively popular, games like Splendor will never come close to it in this regard.

There is nothing to "win." The natural context to answer the question in the BGA forum is whether you could do it ON BGA. In fact, we know the OP was talking specifically about BGA because they mentioned Premium membership. The answer is still "no."
