View the player profile, if it does not show the rating in-game.

The only way I've found so far is to actually go into each player's profile and scroll to the stats of the game being played.

The way you described is how I do it. To me, that qualifies as "easy".

For some games, the rating is shown on the game screen, or at least, it used to be.

I noticed a flaw in the new arena. If I move first, my opponent displays as "player 2", but if I move second, my opponent displays as "player 1". (in a 2 player game) There are some games, like Gizmos, where moving first is a huge advantage. If I see that I'm player 2, I can refuse to start the game and farm for being player 1 only.

If true, that's a severe issue.
Some games have an overwhelming advantage for player 1.

I just saw a counterexample where I was Player 2 on the waiting screen yet I went first when the game started.

Stepping back and thinking about it, I'm not even sure it makes sense that the order on the waiting screen would determine the order in the game, because that means the turn order would have to be passed to the game's state engine when an instance of the game is formed. I think turn order is something that's determined once a game is initiated, not something taken as an input.

Did this happen only those 2-3 times you noticed it? Because, that's well within the realm of statistical probability to just occur randomly. I mean, for any given game, it's 50% probable that the player marked as "player 2" will go second.

Maybe I was just "lucky". I was only tracking it briefly and notice it 3 times in a row.
