Bug reported 5 years ago still not fixed?! (7WD unplayable on smartphone)

Hi! Im new here, and I'm curious if this situation is normal situation here on BGA.

I was trying to play 7 wonders Duel on my iOS smartphone, and couldn't finish a game even single time becouse of bug where I cant click on card becouse it pop ups tooltip box. This bug is already reported here on BGA support 29688. Workarounds (turn disabled for display tooltip box, or select landscape mode) did not work for me, tried multiple times, get some BGA penalties for not playing the game. So far ok, nothing more I can do, just wait to be fixed. The thing that shocked me is that this bug report is created on Dec 8 2020 which is 5 years ago, so all this time noone cared to fix this bug? I think 7WD is pretty good and popular game which should deserve to be playable even on smartphones as all of the other games here on BGA.

BGA usually hires different freelance developers to develop popular games. Sometimes less popular games are developed by volunteers but I don't think this was the option for 7WD (just my personal thoughts). And after releasing a game, there's a "cooldown period" where a developer is obliged to fix the most critical bugs. Some devs commit into fixing 99% of everything, some fix most critical ones, it depends on a situation and responsibility of a single person mostly. I would presume a person didn't have an iPhone to reproduce the bug - that's why it wasn't fixed back then. After some time devs usually switch to other projects or sometimes unfortunately stop supporting some games at all.
That's just how it goes. So yes, this is possible and happens for differnet BGA games - they become unmaintaned and some bugs might be not fixed for years. Sad but true

Hey there! I've played over 300 games during the last two weeks on my iPhone. In order to bypass the tooltip and select a card instead, you simply need to double-tap on it.

Hi! Thanks a lot, looks like this workaround works for me as well - as far as I tried in two games so far. Hard to believe it was this easy to make it work

I use macOS, and find the Chrome doesn't work well. I use Safari instead and it works well.
