Carson City: The West is where you make your own luck.

Howdy partner! Welcome to Carson City, town of opportunity. And not just to gather cows and reflect on your life, this is not City Slickers, but to become the most important person in town!

The game is played in four rounds, and in each one of them you choose a character, out of the 7 that are available, giving you certain advantages.

After characters have been selected, place your cowboys to choose an action on the city map, claim a parcel of land, attack or defend a building or choose to pass.

If more than one player is on the same location, it is duel time! Roll the dice and see if you are the last one standing and claim some goods!

To sum up Carson City, you possess a small amount of money and have a team of loyal cowboys at your disposal. Purchase the best parcels and build the most lucrative buildings in town. Provoke your opponents to a duel! Snatch the best deals! And become the most important citizen of Carson City right here:

A tip of the hat to Xavier George, game designer, and Quined Games, the publisher, for having Carson City on our platform. And a big thank you to Sir Heo, who developed the BGA’s version wearing a good ol’ Stetson hat.

This game is part of the WINTER of GAMES 2025 calendar.
That’s it for this Friday release, partner.
Until next time, take care and play fair…

I notice that the rules PDF that the game page link to are for the Big Box edition.

Does this mean that we can expect the expansions to be added? I miss my outlaws and horses!

It's also rather disappointing that this edition doesn't include ANY of the optional variants from the rulebook. The river especially is crucial for the map not being too open at lower player counts.

And not being able to play with the red sides of the basic role cards, or build our own sets of cards, is kind of a let-down too. "Random" is insufficient... a lot of combos are going to be NOT fun to play, and will probably lead to a lot of abandoned games.

Thanks for your feedback. No additions planned for now.
