I appreciate the work done by the people who adapt board games for BGA -- but I'm always disappointed when a board game that can be played solo is only for two or more people in the adaptation. I love seeing multiplayer games on BGA that include the single-player mode. The BGA games I've played most often with other people are Wingspan and Anachrony. I'm much more likely to try a game if it supports 1+ players since I can run through it by myself a few times before I try playing it with/against other people. In turn, I'm much more likely to play that game with two or more players. Solo is good for people who've never played the game, and it's good for BGA.
I don't expect BGA to add solo play to a game if the physical version doesn't have it, but I hate to see solo left out of a game that supports solo out of the box. As a compromise, I'd settle for the ability to play a game two-handed to get some practical experience with it beyond watching a tutorial or reading the rules (both of which can be hit or miss).
