The White Castle Matcha expansion is my hot guess on one of the this month's reveal from the calendar! Fingers crossed. Matcha would be great addition to White Castle here on BGA.

Maybe . Depends on the publisher, Board Game Arena, player base and developer time. I can only speak for developer time, and I would be up for it. You can report an offical suggestion so players can upvote.

Good news! The report for the extension implementation request has evolved. The developer's message:
It's now officially in development. I will soon update the base game with some QoL improvements and will then work on the expansion.
