Winter League - No Spirit Cards + Outlook 2026

Hi there, fellow Harmonies fans, after the Autumn League, we should also have a Winter League. It includes 3 tournaments of Harmonies - No Spirits, Side A, 2p. In the end, all results are aggregated and we crown the Harmonies Winter League Champion. Only Good+ players can join.

Additionally, the top 2 in each group of the Winter League Cups qualify for the monthly Round Robin Rumble - Burning Butterfly Cup (see next post).

You can join one, two, or all three of them.

Tournament Rules:
Each tournament consists of eight round-robin groups with up to 11 players, the best 6 in each group go to the KO stage.
1st to 2nd place: Skip KO round 1 and start in KO round 2.
3rd to 6th place: Start in KO round 1.

Your Winter League Score:
- All final group stage scores (wins + 0.5 x ties) are added up
- On top, each win (or bye) in a KO round scores a half point
(e.g., a tournament champion scores 6 x 0.5 = 3 KO points)
- No other bonus points
- Maximum overall score is 39 = 3x10+3x3

Tiebreakers
Ties in the Winter League Score are resolved by:
(1) Overall number of KO wins, byes count as "KO win"
(2) Cumulated game score differences in group stages

The overall ranking is created and updated by me - I will create a Google sheet and share it. I tried to spice it up a little bit compared to the Autumn League. Have fun and good luck!

Round Robin Rumble - Burning Butterfly Cup (OPTIONAL!):
In 2026, the monthly Round Robin Rumble consists only of a single round-robin group with up to 15 players. The top 2 in each group of the monthly Winter League Cup qualify for that, except for the worst-performing 2nd place. You are free to skip it.
The last 2nd place and then 3rd places -best to worst by group stage score- are invited if any players skip. We fill it up to 15.

The Round Robin Rumble starts at least 2 days after the end of the Winter League Cup group stage, I send out invites timely.
PRO of the change:
- Less games overall and the 15p group has a fixed start date
- No need to commit to it already 10 days before it happens

Challengers League (new!): A new Cup for those behind the top players, the ones without invites for the "top-tier" tournaments. There are 4 round-robin groups of up to 8 players, the top 2 in each group go to the final group of 8.
- Open for "Strong" players (Elo in 300 to 500), I notify Winter League Cup participants
