I got a countdown of my confirmation button

My confirmation button suddenly got a countdown, i did not notice this in time and lost a game because of it (my turn got confirmed while i wass still thinking) . Is this a new update or is this a setting i can turn off?

Check the settings (game flow/turn confirmation). There is a choice between enabled, disabled and enabled with timer. If I remember correctly, my last turn (I play turn based) didn’t have a timer on the confirmation button, in accordance with my settings. Strange though as you didn’t change the setting on purpose and it’s something you can hardly do by accident.
