New start up process is awful

Since the change was made that after four players join, there is an additional step where everyone has to "accept" I would estimate that roughly 75% of games are aborted. I suspect this is largely because players are browsing in another window and don't realize the game is starting. It is incredibly aggravating. The former process where it went immediately to the game screen was much better.

I agree, I think the new start process is terrible. I think they were trying to get around the fact that folks join a game and then fall asleep but this is no better.

I guess they just implement things based on trial and error rather than actually coming up with a good idea

I think that this new process is better than the older.
Now you have to click to start a game, so you can't end up in situation like you are in the game and you didn't receive the notification so you end up with bad karma and points.

I agree with Paolo. I have lost so many ELO points because I didn't hear the game start, ran my clock, and got last place.

Now if you abort a game and rejoin immediately, you have a pretty good chance that everyone joining has good chance of being fresh and aware.
